Quick, Easy Chinese Dinner

Chinese Beef – Serves 4 (235 calories per serve)


Olive oil spray

500g raw lean rump steak – cut into strips

1 tsp crushed garlic

1 tsp crushed ginger

1 onion – sliced

1 ½ cups small cauliflower florets

1 cup red capsicum – sliced

1 cup snow peas

227g can water chestnuts – drained

5 tbsp teriyaki sauce

2 tsp soy sauce

2 tsp chicken stock powder

1 tbsp cornflour*

1 cup water*


In a large frypan, which is coated in cooking spray, sauté steak with garlic and ginger until browned.

Add onion and cauliflower and cook 3 mins stirring frequently.

Place capsicum, snow peas and water chestnuts into pan and sauté until cooked to your liking.

Add teriyaki marinade, soy sauce and stock powder to pan and stir well with meat.

Blend cornflour with water, pour into pan and stir well until boiled (only if you need a thicker consistency).
